Somebody Convince me

I have a question and I am not necessarily aiming this toward you, Gotch. Since there are so many people in America who are totally against any type of universal healthcare in the U.S. because they feel their tax dollars will be used to fund this, then why aren't people in as big an outrage over our tax dollars being used to fund our public schools? I mean if you are against your tax dollars being used to better the health of America, then why not be against your tax dollars being spent on education? Same thing isn't it?

So is the use of tax dollars to fund law enforcement. We could easily go to privately hired law enforcement. Does that sound like a good idea. Or even privately hired judges. All the same.

You'd think people with stances like that would have went out and chopped the wood for their own house and mined the coal that goes into electricity for their house...when others have done that for them. That's what living in a country/state-commonwealth/county/town/community is all about--we all do a job, it may help us out directly--but to be sure it helps the well-being of the community itself, and thusly helps on up the chain if we all pull together and do a good job.

With UHC, our collective health in this country will increase, and with it, our ability to prosper as a nation.

The problem isn't with healthcare, but who should pay for it. Healthcare is not a constitutional right - it was developed as a competitive edge to attract the best employees. Universal healthcare is merely a ploy of the democrats to entice more reatrds into their camp.

its illegal for anybody hospital to refuse service to anybody who cannot pay

thats why they bill you and 90% of the time it winds up on your credit because it doesnt get paid

if they want health care they need to get off their ass and work. i personally do not want to pay for someone else's health care that's lazy.

and also hospitals do not turn people away just because they do not have health care.
